Starch
and now
my pain is collateral
because I was inside you
when there was nothing inside of me
like the sex you kept internal-
integrated and thick
A surface conversation
trying to get underneath
your heels and stockings
I want to abuse you like a
Drug and leave you
burnt and alone
Swollen and oily
on my brittle flesh
you bleed the
trail of words that
cut and disagree as
i wonder what broke first-
the condom or my heart
Disenfranchised Poet
with his franchise poems
F*ck Tori Amos and Ani Difranco
trying to sell their art
while you buy their body,
you never listened to what a fat girl
had to say
until she sucked in enough skin
so you could see inside her bony ribs,
tied to her tight jeans and half shirts
she won't let anything inside
but the cute boys who force
their way through
drunk and lonely
I want to subscribe to your
baby girl solutions and
feminist confusion but
the only thing you have left to show me
is your skin
and I talk to you on this paper
because I need to hide behind this poem,
I am the man I hate because
I am not man enough to understand you-
Isolated and soft
I find myself dull,
like dull pain
because I remember it better than this
smiling at you with food in my teeth
telling you what you wanted to hear
so you could hear my voice
but all you wanted was me
to tell you
you were like one of the guys
when you were a women to 30 other men
because you never learned how to live alone
the only thing I learned from living alone
is that you can sh*t with the bathroom door open
