Here are keenly crafted, relatively minimalist sound manipulations from the duo of Entropy (vocals, guitars, keyboards) and Utopia (sampling, programming, drums, bass). Heavy metal guitars are diced and spliced with cries, screams and whispers, both human and mechanical. Whirling from free-form sonic collage to electronic grooves, Entropic Utopia is at its best when it's most obtuse. "This recording is a diary," states the J-card, and is intended to be understood solely by its author." Fair enough.
